The Cabinet on Wednesday hailed His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani's speech at the 48th ordinary session of the Shura Council on Tuesday.
At its regular meeting, chaired by HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Cabinet pointed out that the speech covered Qatar’s achievements in various fields, and outlined the features of the next stage and the effort it requires while adhering to the values and principles, in order to continue the development and building process under His Highness the Amir's sound directives in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
It noted that the Amir's impressive speech included stances towards regional and international issues, and emphasised keenness to promote security, peace and stability in the region and the world.
The Cabinet also appreciated the reference to the preparation of the Shura Council elections and the necessary draft laws.
Moreover, the Cabinet expressed pride in what His Highness the Amir said about the successes and achievements in the economy sector and the provision of services and decent standard of living, despite the unjust siege.
The Cabinet stressed that all these have been achieved thanks to God and to the directives of His Highness as well as the dedicated efforts of citizens and residents.
HE the Prime Minister directed the ministers to implement the directives outlined by His Highness the Amir in his speech and prepare the necessary plans and programmes.
Following the meeting at the Amiri Diwan, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi said that the Cabinet reviewed topics on the agenda.
