The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a closure on parts of Bani Hajer Interchange on Khalifa Avenue on November 8-10 and November 15-17.
A 1km stretch of the service road from Dukhan to Doha will be closed along with two loops for the traffic from Dukhan towards Bani Hajer and the traffic from Bani Hajer towards Doha.
The closure is to enable the asphalt works as part of the Khalifa Avenue Project.
During the traffic change, that will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users on Dukhan road and Al Shahama Street will have to make use of alternative routes to reach their destinations as shown on the map.
Road users from Dukhan heading towards Bani Hajer on the service road will have to continue straight on Dukhan Road towards Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange and make U-Turn towards Bani Hajer.
Road users on Al Shahama Street from Bani Hajer towards Doha will have to take the free right exit towards Al Wajba Interchange and make a U-turn towards Doha.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and requested road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
