Doha Bank has declared October 27 as ‘Doha Bank Pink Day’ and lined up a series of activities as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Doha Bank Pink Day started off with all the employees’ desktops and branding platforms displaying the pink ribbon. All employees wore pink ribbons to express their moral support for women with breast cancer.

An awareness seminar was held for the employees, in partnership with the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), which highlighted the importance of periodic screening, early detection, lifestyle options, and treatment for breast cancer.

Commenting on ‘Pink Day’ Shaikha Noor al-Thani, deputy head Human Resources, said: “We consider such initiatives as a social responsibility at an organisatoinal level, and stress on the importance of being mindful of early detection, which can save lives.

“HMC and PHCC are equipped with the latest medical technology and equipment for screening and early detection, and these facilities can be easily availed.
