Asjad Jewellery Exhibition opened Friday at Al Hazm with an impressive turnout of visitors. "Around 40 companies from different parts of the world, leading in the field of jewellery and gems, are making their Qatar debut in the seven-day event," said Mohamed Abdul Karim al-Emadi, chief executive officer, Al Hazm.
He expressed his satisfaction at the response from the visitors. "My first impression about the event is that both the exhibitors and the visitors are feeling great about the event. We have done our best to ensure that everything is in place. This event would also give a positive impression about the ability of the country to host big events and further enhance its good reputation regarding its stability, security, safety and being a top destination for business," he said.
Al-Emadi hoped that more editions of the event at larger scale would be hosted in the future. "The success of Asjad points to the good position of Al Hazm to organise specialised and qualitative exhibition on a grand scale," he added.
There are up to 90 companies, both local and international, taking part in the event with some displaying new items of jewellery designed in particular to get introduced to the Qatari market. Also, local companies in collaboration with their partners and suppliers of various international companies and brands have brought unique pieces of jewellery for Asjad. Most of the sellers expressed their keenness to give customers the best rates on their products. Some booths are designated for Qatari designers.
Ashraf Mustafa, purchase and corporate sales manager, Alfardan Jewellery, stressed that the Alfardan booth has brought an excellent collection of unique pieces to the event. He said that some pieces will be available for display and sale during Asjad only.
"Some international suppliers and brands including companies from Italy and Greece, working under the umbrella of Alfardan, have brought some specially designed pieces to be displayed at Asjad," he said.
Mustafa also praised the atmosphere of grandiose at Al Hazm and the excellent preparations for the event. Similarly, the exhibitors from around the world including India, France, Italy, Oman, Kuwait and others, lauded the outstanding preparations for the event. They expressed their admiration for the excellent organising and the considerable turnout of visitors at the opening.
