The Police College on Thursday hosted the graduation of the second batch officers of thunderbolt commando training course. A total of 111 students who completed the nine-week course received their badges.
The commando training course is one of the compulsory specialised courses for the Police College students. The objective is to help them develop in accordance with the best modern police and military training strategies. The intensive thunderbolt commando training course included theoretical and practical sessions.
It helped candidates enhance their self-confidence and capacity of decision-making, facing emergencies and enduring difficulties. Besides, the course helped them acquire skills that increase efficiency and professional skills as police officers.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Major General Dr Abdullah Yousef al-Mal, adviser to the Minister of Interior and deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of Police College along with directors of various MoI departments and parents of the graduates.
Captain Abdullah Nasser al-Shahwani pointed out that the candidates were trained by a group of highly qualified officers. The trainers were able to take the participants to the highest levels of physical preparation and military skills, he added.
