Vodafone Qatar and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) yesterday announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see the two companies collaborate to provide enterprises and government in Qatar with advanced ICT solutions.
The agreement was signed by Vodafone Qatar chief operating officer Diego Camberos and Hewlett Packard Qatar managing director Ashraf Arafeh on the sidelines of Qitcom 2019, the largest information and communications showcase in Qatar.
The MoU states that Vodafone Qatar and HPE will jointly draw up an innovation roadmap for government and enterprises to transition from traditional technology platforms to futuristic services.
Moreover, Vodafone Qatar will work with HPE to launch cloud services for mission critical applications and business continuity services for customers in Qatar.
Vodafone Qatar also joins the HPE Partner Ready Service Provider programme as a Gold partner for Qatar.
“By working shoulder to shoulder with many of the country’s most significant organisations and entities, we intimately understand the power and potential of technological innovation and disruption. Our business exists to help connect the ideas of today with the technologies of tomorrow. Our partnership with HPE comes as part of our commitment to turn Qatar into one of the world’s most advanced and digitally connected countries,” Camberos said.
Arafeh added: “Our partnership with Vodafone allows us to showcase disruptive technologies and offer a glimpse of HPE’s leading technologies, and solutions, to redefine enterprise experiences and drive smarter, hyper-efficient enterprise operations. HPE makes IT environments more efficient, productive and secure, enabling fast, flexible responses to a rapidly changing competitive landscape.
“We aspire to contribute to Qatar’s vision of a smart and safe country, by enabling organisations to act quickly on ideas by delivering infrastructure that can be easily composed and recomposed to meet shifting demands, so that they can lead in today’s marketplace of disruptive innovation.”
