*Amir, Bolsonaro hold talks; witness signing of agreements

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro held a session of official talks at the Amiri Diwan on Monday.
During the session, both sides discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of developing and pushing them forward to include new aspects of bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of politics, economy, energy, military industries and food security, in addition to encouraging investment in the private sector in both countries as well as in the sport sector as Brazil is a partner in infrastructure projects to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

They discussed the most important regional and international issues in a way that contributes to supporting and enhancing security and stability in the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by a number of ministers, and from the Brazilian side by members of the official delegation accompanying the President.
An official reception was held for the President of Brazil upon his arrival at the Amiri Diwan.
The Amir and the President of Brazil witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the two governments.
They witnessed the signing of an agreement on the joint exemption of visa requirements for ordinary passport holders and a bilateral air services agreement.
They also witnessed the signing of an MoU on cooperation in the health field and an MoU in the diplomatic training field between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar and the Rio Branco Institute of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
His Highness the Amir and the Brazilian president also witnessed the signing of an MoU on cooperation in major international events and an MoU on defence matters between Qatar's Ministry of Defence and Brazil's Ministry of Defence.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, as well as members of the official delegation accompanying the Brazilian President.
His Highness the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Brazilian president and the delegation accompanying him at the Amiri Diwan Monday. The banquet was attended by a number of ministers, businessmen and notables.
A joint statement issued by Qatar and Brazil said Bolsonaro's official visit to Doha was based on the profound and distinguished relations between the two countries and their reciprocal desire to develop and promote the bilateral relations in all fields.
The two sides expressed their satisfaction at the excellent level of bilateral relations in the political, economic and investment fields in the year of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Brazil.
"The two leaders decided to deepen bilateral relations and to strengthen economic cooperation and partnerships in fields such as infrastructure, agribusiness, energy, defence and science and technology. They acknowledged that these agreements and those already existing would strengthen the framework for the consolidation of the friendship and cooperation between Qatar and Brazil."
During the visit, Bolsonaro attended a high-level round table that provided updated information to the Qatari business leadership on Brazils positive macroeconomic scenario and new investment opportunities.
