Barwa Real Estate Group, in collaboration with Waseef for Property Management, signed an agreement with Mawater Centre, established by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, on the second day of its participation in Cityscape Qatar 2019. Under this agreement, Mawater Centre will have a permanent showroom in Madinat Mawater, one of Barwa’s biggest developmental projects offering all car-related activities and services.
The agreement was signed by Waseef CEO Abdullah Jubara al-Rumaihi and Mawater Centre director Salem Saeed al-Mohannadi, both of whom stressed that the collaboration mainly aims to serve car lovers by bringing together all necessary services in one destination.
Through its showroom in Madinat Mawater, Mawater Centre will sell classic cars and their spare parts, as well as host launch events of new cars. The showroom will include a studio to shoot television programmes and facilities to host youth events and gatherings, according to a press statement.
Mawater Centre has been established by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Speaking on the collaboration, al-Rumaihi said: “We are delighted to have sealed this strategic partnership with Mawater Centre, one of the most active centres of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Its distinctive activities are always creating momentum and attracting youths and car lovers.
“The permanent presence of Mawater Centre is an added value for the city. Madinat Mawater is now the ideal location for the kind of services and activities that Mawater Centre offers to its community.”
Madinat Mawater will serve as the main destination in Qatar for all activities related to used cars, the statement notes. Located in Rawdat Rashid, off Exit 29 on Salwa Road, the city will offer car showrooms, vehicle maintenance workshops, spare parts, offices, shops, government services as well as a Traffic Department office, vehicle inspection and maintenance facilities, a gas station, insurance companies, banks and restaurants.
