Al Shaqab, yesterday, emerged on top with its sterling horses winning two gold and one silver medal at the prestigious horse show at the on-going Salon du Cheval in El Jadida, Morocco.
The international Class A show yesterday saw Thamamah Al Shaqab triumph as the Champion Senior Mare to claim gold, and Fahad Al Shaqab winning gold as the Champion Yearling Colt.
Arsalan Al Shaqab claimed silver in the Champion Yearling Colt category.
All the horses had qualified for the championship final on Wednesday.
The 12th edition of the Salon du Cheval was inaugurated at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Centre on Monday under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco. 
The Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) are the Platinum Sponsor of the 12th edition of the Salon and participating in the week-long event to promote Qatar’s equestrian sport.
As many as 300,000 visitors attend Salon du Cheval every year. They usually flood to the Salon to enjoy all the events, stands of the participating countries as well as the Moroccan heritage equestrian-related activities.
The outstanding performance of Al Shaqab horses can be attributed to the world-class facility’s perseverance. 
Since its establishment in 1992, Al Shaqab’s vision has been to build on Qatar’s Arabian horse heritage and be a leading global centre for equine professionals. 
Global leadership has not only meant preserving, improving, and promoting the Arabian horse breed but also encouraging the community in this unique, traditional cultural sport.
