Doha
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the conversion of Electricity Intersection (formerly known as Nasser bin Khalid Intersection) on A Ring Road into a temporary roundabout while keeping the same number of lanes open in all directions.
The change will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and the intersection will remain as temporary roundabout from Friday for a period of four months.
The conversion is to enable expansion and upgrading work on Electricity Intersection and installation of new traffic lights as part of the A-Ring Road Development Project.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure. The authority has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
