Renowned Indian sitarist Shujaat Husain Khan will perform at Katara Cultural Village tomorrow at 7pm. 
The sitar maestro’s concert is organised by the Indian embassy and the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) Advisory Council as part of the Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019.
While addressing a press meet at the embassy hall yesterday, Shujaat Husain Khan said he is proud to be part of the programmes by Indian embassy and glad to enthral the music lovers in Qatar.
“Sitar music is a kind of fine arts and I am here to take the audience to the magical world of music by upholding the potential of sitar,” the Grammy Award nominee said.
The concert at Katara Drama Theater will see the sitarist perform with tabla players, Amit Choubey and Sapan Anjaria.
Known for his skills as a young prodigy, Shujaat began giving public performances during his childhood and has performed at all the prestigious music festivals in India and throughout Asia, Africa, North America, and Europe.
