The Cabinet's regular weekly meeting, chaired by HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, approved a draft decision by the Minister of Interior on the controls and procedures of the exit of some categories of expatriates who are not subject to the Labour Law.
Following the meeting, which took place in the Amiri Diwan, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi said that the Cabinet reviewed topics on its meeting's agenda as following:
The Cabinet reviewed the views of some ministries and government bodies on the recommendations of the Shura Council on traffic accidents in Qatar, especially those to develop the Sealine area to reduce the rate of accidents there. The Cabinet took the appropriate decision thereon.
The Cabinet also approved a Draft Amiri Decision organising Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College (RLESC).
Under the provisions of the Draft Decision, Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College is a military body for academic and technical education, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Interior and attached to its budget. It aims to prepare technical cadres trained scientifically and practically in fire-fighting, emergency or search and rescue operations. It also aims to prepare qualified graduates in the fields of engineering, security, safety and disaster and crisis management.
The Cabinet also took the necessary measures to ratify a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for co-operation in the fields of youth and sports between the governments of Qatar and The Gambia.
Finally, the Cabinet approved a Draft Memorandum of Understanding for co-operation in the field of standards between the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) in Qatar and the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) in Turkey, and a Draft Memorandum of Understanding for co-operation in the fields of health between the governments of Qatar and Nicaragua.
