At a press conference, Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, managing director of Qetaifan Projects and vice chairman of Katara Hospitality, said: “We are fortunate to be working on one of the most honourable national projects which in turn aims to serve various sectors of the country, such as tourism and real estate development, which will contribute effectively to Qatar National Vision 2030, especially as the country is witnessing a remarkable development in all sectors in the light of the 2022 World Cup preparations.”
He also said: “There is no doubt that the freehold law allowing ownership for non-Qataris on Qetaifan Island North will contribute to increasing opportunities for foreign investment in the real estate sector.
“As we believe in the need for concerted efforts between the state’s institutions, Qetaifan Projects has signed a number of agreements, including 17 memorandums of agreement with international tour operators aimed to activate tourism in the state of Qatar, in collaboration with Katara Hospitality, Qatar National Tourism Council, and Qatar Airways.”
Sheikh Nasser added: “We believe in the future of Qetaifan Island North, and we are working hard and sincerely to make the island a competitive touristic attraction with a new concept of living, where all the required amenities are at your fingertips, including a school and a medical centre, as well as a waterpark, considered as one of the most appealing attractions on the island, which will be operated by Rixos Hotels for the first time in Qatar, along with the Souq, hotels, and the beach club.”
