Attended by a number of directors and legal experts of the NHRC, the meeting dealt with a number of human rights issues, including the NHRC’s efforts in protecting and promoting of workers’ rights, as well as co-operation with UN bodies and international organisations and civil society organisations.
During the meeting, the NHRC officials answered the US delegation’s inquiries about the role of the committee in spreading the culture of human rights in the country and its strategic plan over the next five years, including lectures and programmes targeting workers and employers. (QNA)
