The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of five hours from 3am to 8am Friday and October 11 at Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange.

The closure that will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to enable the finishing of landscape works.

Ashghal has also announced closure on parts of Bani Hajer Interchange on Friday to enable the completion of the asphalt works as part of Khalifa Avenue Project.

During the closure, road users on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange and on Luqta Street heading towards Bani Hajer and Al Rayyan will have to use the alternative routes to reach there destinations as shown on the map.

Road users on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Street heading towards Gate 1 of Qatar Foundation will have to use the free right turn towards Al Wajba palace interchange and make a U-turn.

Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Gharrafat Al Rayyan will have to make a U-turn on Tilted Interchange.

Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Qatar Foundation Gate 1 will have to make a U-turn on Al Wajba Palace Interchange.

Road users leaving Qatar Foundation through Gate 1 will have to take a free right turn and make a U-turn on the Tilted Interchange

Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Bani Hajer will have to continue straight towards Al Wajba Interchange, make a U-turn and than take Dukhan Road service road to be able to take the loop towards Bani Hajer area.

Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Al Rayyan through Bani Hajer bridge will have to continue straight towards Al Wajba Interchange, make a U-turn and than take the slip road towards Al Rayyan.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and requested all road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
