The Ministry of Interior's (MoI) General Directorate of Passports completed more than 1.7mn transactions through its various departments during the month of August 2019, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Airport Passports Department recorded more than 1.4mn entry and exit movements through Hamad International Airport in August, with e-gate transactions reaching 440,224.
The total e-services, offered by different e-channels including Hukooomi, MoI Website and Metrash 2 application reached 189,165 transactions.
While 108,851 transactions were recorded by MoI e-services portal, Metrash2 and Hukoomi offered 80,112 and 202 transactions, respectively.
The Permanent Committee to look into recruitment applications completed 47,725 transactions while Office of the Elderly and People with Disabilities completed 676 transactions in August.
The 20 Services Centres of the MoI witnessed 171,378 transactions.
The Emergency Services at National Command Centre received 35,154 calls in August while the special service for the people with hearing disability dealt with 927 calls during the month.
