The Big 5 Construct Qatar concluded on Wednesday after three days of face-to-face business, networking opportunities and educational seminars, all in an effort to boost the local construction sector.
The second edition was opened by HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) and enjoyed support from the official strategic partner, Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC).
Held over three days The Big 5 Construct Qatar hosted more than 150 international and local exhibitors from 20 countries, featured business promotion incentives and ran over 40 free-to-attend educational workshops for construction professional in Qatar.

The main objective of The Big 5 Qatar has been to provide a platform where the local construction community can meet face-to-face with international market leaders, do business and gain important industry insight through education sessions, the organisers have said in a statement.
To further promote the "unique opportunity" that Qatar has to offer to international business visitors, The Big 5 Construct Qatar - along with QNTC - featured a Hosted Buyers Programme and International Media Tour throughout the event, "bringing global business visitors even closer to local prospects", the statement added.
