Doha Festival City (DHFC) has partnered with the Local Organising Committee of the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 to host a World Athletic Championship competition for children.

The event is currently taking place until October 3 at a Mini Khalifa Stadium in the Centre Court on the first floor of DHFC.

The venue is open daily from 2pm to 10pm on weekdays, and until 11pm from Thursdays to Saturdays, welcoming children to play and enjoy a variety of athletics activities, including jumping, throwing, relay races, sprints and hurdles.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, experienced coaches will be on the ground to offer training sessions for three hours at each pit, while on weekends children will compete against each other to win medals.

On October 3, there will be a meet and greet with the IAAF ambassadors, Ashton Eaton and Mike Powell, at 2pm. The visit will be taking place in the mini athletic activation area.

Access to the event is free for all children of the recommended age, 4-14 years.
