Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), participated in the 55th International Society of City and Regional Planners Congress in Indonesian capital Jakarta yesterday.
The Qatari delegation was chaired by Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning Fahd Mohamed al-Qahtani.
On the sidelines of the meeting, al-Qahtani signed a contract that will see Qatar host the 56th edition of the congress in November 2020. He gave a speech to invite the attendees to the Doha Congress, which will coincide with the countdown to the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
