The Big 5 Construct Qatar, held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, gets under way at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on Monday
Running till September 25, the event will host more than 150 exhibitors from 20 countries and feature 40 free-to-attend education workshops.
"The second edition of Qatar’s most important event dedicated to the construction industry is ready to open its doors at the DECC. Backed by its strategic partner, Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), the Big 5 Construct Qatar will officially open at 11am and showcase the latest construction solutions and services," the organisers said in a statement.

Visitors will benefit from a pool of over 150 exhibitors from 20 countries, representing the entire building process across seven product sectors: MEP Services; Building Interiors & Finishes; Building Envelope & Special Construction; Construction Tools & Building Materials; Construction Technologies & Innovations; Concrete; and Plant Machinery and Vehicles.
In addition, free education at the event will offer insight to visitors on the latest industry trends, tools and techniques.
The agenda comprises 40 CPD (Continuing Professional Development)-certified workshops covering the latest industry topics across topics, including Project Management, Architecture and Design, General Construction, Sustainability and the hugely popular final day talks on BIM and Women in Construction.
