Compass International School – Doha will host Open Day activities from 9am until 12 noon today at its new campus in the Al Themaid area of Doha.
The event, which is open to the public, is being held mark the new academic year and celebrate the recently opened, state-of-the-art campus in Al Themaid, the school has said in a statement.
It invites families to enjoy a variety of activities and learn more about the programmes offered across the four Compass International School campuses in Doha.
From STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) activities to sport, and from Lego to origami and mask-making – attendees of all ages will enjoy a wide variety of "engaging and stimulating activities", the statement notes. Parents will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, the head of campus and the executive principal, Paul Holyome, and learn more about the curricula offered at the school.
There will be light refreshments served in the cafeteria and a photo booth will be available to capture a souvenir of the day.
Admissions staff will be on hand to take visitors on a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities at the new campus, which opened its doors to students on September 15. The new campus includes "outstanding facilities, including science laboratories, an auditorium, a 25m swimming pool, music practice rooms, specialist design areas, performing arts, athletics spaces and more".
Ann Djedid, head, Themaid Campus, said: “We are delighted to welcome families to the Open Day at our newest campus. They will love the activities that we have organised and I think they will be pretty amazed to see the facilities at our new campus. Moreover, parents will be able to experience Compass’ transformational approach to learning first hand.”
