Qatar’s Al Gannas Association is participating in the first exhibition of falcons and hunting in Kuwait, which will be held until September 21.
The association’s participation aims to strengthen co-operation and friendship with brothers in the Gulf region, the Arab world and beyond, in view of the common heritage.
Chairman of Qatar’s Al Gannas Association and chairman of the organising committee of Marmi International Festival Ali bin Khatam al-Mahshadi said in a statement yesterday that the presence of the association in the first exhibition of falcons and hunting came at the invitation of our brothers in Kuwait, and it is a symbolic participation.
Al-Mahshadi explained that these exhibitions relating to heritage hobbies are of great importance in consolidating heritage and the traditional sports practised since ancient times in the Gulf region, and he added that they also contribute significantly to introducing the younger generations to their heritage.
For his part, Mohamed bin Abdul Latif al-Misnad, vice president of Qatari Society of Al Gannas and vice chairman of the organising committee of Katara International Hunting and Falcon Exhibition (S’hail), said the invitation was accepted to attend the exhibition, to support brothers in Kuwait, especially as the heritage is the same in the field of falconry, and he wished them success for the exhibition and other events.
