The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has carried out a joint inspection campaign at Souq Al Haraj in Najma, Doha, in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) and Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs.
The initiative led to the detection of 104 violations committed by street vendors, the MoCI tweeted on Sunday.
In a related statement, the MME said its department of mechanical equipment was involved in the campaign along with Doha Municipality's general control department and the other ministries mentioned above.
The violations detected and removed during the initiative pertained to unauthorised activities, street vending as well as non-compliance with public hygiene rules, the MME said. Pictures courtesy of MoCI and MME
