At 2022hrs (8.22pm) on Tuesday, the unveiling of the official logo for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will take place in Doha and 23 cities around the world, through a digital campaign that will also be displayed on major screens in different capitals around the world simultaneously.

The unveiling is an important milestone for FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) on its path to organize the first football World Cup in the Arab world and the Middle East.

SC had announced that the official logo of the World Cup will be revealed by displaying it on the facades of buildings and landmarks in Doha at Katara, Souq Waqif, Sheraton Hotel and Al Shoula Tower, Kuwait (Kuwait Towers), Muscat (Opera House), Beirut (Raouche Rock), Amman (Royal Hotel), Algeria (Opera House), Tunisia (Hammamet), Rabat (Corniche Rabat), and Iraq (Baghdad Tower, Tahrir Square).

The committee also announced that it will be displayed on giant screens in a number of countries of the world: Times Square and Broadway in the United States, Argentina (General Pazy 15 de Augusto, and Bowens Iris), Brazil (Metro Dominican Sea Station, So Paulo), Chile (A Kennedy, Padre Hortado, Santiago), and Mexico (Principe Street, Mexico City).

The logo will be screened in Europe in England, France, Germany, Italy and Russia.

The World Cup emblem will be displayed in Turkey via giant screens in as well as Barbados, India, South Korea and South Africa. — QNA
