His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired Wednesday the council's third meeting in 2019 at the Amiri Diwan.
His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani, Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies the members of the council.
The council discussed topics on the meeting agenda and took the appropriate measures regarding them. It reviewed the work process of the second National Development Strategy 2018-2022. The council also reviewed the latest developments with regard to the Free Zone Authority, particularly the approval of investment applications from major international and local companies worth more than QR1bn targeting key economic, industrial and technological projects in the free zones in the country, in addition to the adoption of privileged partnerships between the private sector and international companies from various fields.
