The Al Bidda Park management has decided to levy a barbecue rental fee from September 1, according to a notice put up at the site.
The fee for using the barbecue facility at the park will be QR50 for four hours. The 'Notice to the Public' states that the booking timings are from 6am to 10am, from 11am to 3pm, from 4pm to 8pm, and from 9pm until closing time.
Only card payments will be accepted for barbecue booking purposes. "Strictly no cash," the notice adds. One can call the following numbers to enquire about the booking procedures: for the Al Bidda and Al Rumailah areas, one has to contact the park office at 44287709; and, for the Wadi Al Sail area, one has to contact the info centre at 44287777.
Visitors are advised to present their payment invoice to security personnel upon arrival at the designated barbecue location booked by them.
