The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that any student registration or transfer have to go through school administrations, whereas in case of any obstacles, a paper application form will be used and sent by the school to the department of admission and registration at the ministry.
In this regard, the ministry called on parents to visit the schools to register and transfer their children.
The ministry designated two schools - Al Ahnaf Bin Qays for male applicants and Abu Hanifa Elementary School for female applicants.
The schools are made available to respond to the inquiries of parents only, not to carry out registration or transfer of students.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education on August 21 opened the registration and transfer of students in public schools once again for the academic year 2019/2020 for all levels and will continue open till September 5.
Registration and transfer will be carried out by parents from September 8 to 19 through the electronic registration link (http://tasjeel.edu.gov.qa).
The department of schools affairs has set the cut off date for admission to kindergarten for Qatari nationals, children of GCC nationals and children of Qatari nationals is December 31, 2014 and for preparatory the cut off date for admission is December 31, 2013.
The ministry called on all parties to pay attention to students mainly, and to provide all the work and make the utmost efforts required in order to start a school year that is more successful and distinguished than previous years.
Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Fawzia Al Khater said, during her visit to Jaber Ben Hayan Primary School for Boys, the ministry is looking forward to a successful academic generation that keeps pace with the developments and requirements of the modern age.
This means that all those involved in the educational process, including parents, should play their part in encouraging, motivating and caring for the children.
