Qatar condemns shooting inside Norway mosque
Qatar expressed yesterday its condemnation and denunciation of a shooting attack that took place inside a mosque in the Norwegian capital Oslo, and led to one injury. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed, in a statement, Qatar’s firm position of rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of their motives and reasons.
Indian I-Day flag hoisting function
A flag hoisting ceremony will be held on August 15 at Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) at 7am to celebrate the 73rd Independence Day of India, the embassy announced yesterday. Indian ambassador P Kumaran will hoist the national flag and read out the address of the Indian president to the nation. Students of Indian schools in Doha will participate in the programme.
All Indian nationals are invited to attend the flag hoisting function. They are requested to bring a Photo ID. ICC is located at Street No 916, Wahb Bin Omair, Al Mamoura.
