Al Daayan Municipality's Health Control Section has carried out an inspection campaign at the various meat, sweets and nuts shops and other food outlets as part of the ongoing preparations for Eid al-Adha.
The Section has prepared a work plan to tighten control on all meat shops, retailers, food packing facilities and storehouses, eateries, catering kitchens, bakeries and cafeterias to ensure they are following the proper regulations with regard to food products.
Veterinarians at the section will start their supervision immediately after the Eid prayers and will continue working throughout the first three days of Eid, conducting various inspection tours across the municipality to prevent slaughtering outside the authorised slaughterhouses.
