The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary traffic shift along 150 metres of the C-Ring Road between Al-Mirqab Al-Jadeed Street and Ashja bin Amr Street in the lanes leading to Salwa Road from Friday (August 9) for a period of three weeks.

The traffic change that will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is aimed at upgrading the intersection of C-Ring Road with Al-Mirqab Al-Jadeed Street to a signal-controlled intersection.

During the shift, traffic on the closed part will be shifted to the opposite side of the road. Two lanes of the side will be for traffic that heads to Al-Sadd while other two lanes will be for traffic heading to Salwa Road. Access from C-Ring Road to Al-Mirqab Al-Jadeed Street will be closed as well as the exit to C-Ring from Ashja bin Amr Street. Access to the service road will remain open as shown on the map.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
