HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah on Wednesday received a telephone call from Iran's Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics Brigadier General Amir Hatami.
Bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them were discussed during the call.
The Iranian minister praised the wisdom of the Qatari leadership in managing its crisis with neighbouring countries.
He also invited HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence to visit Iran. For his part, HE al-Attiyah welcomed the invitation and stressed Qatar's firm position that the security and stability of the region is the responsibility of all, which necessities all the different parties resort to the dialogue table, while stressing at the same time that Iran is a key player in the region's security and stability.
