The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of eastbound lanes of Al Gharrafa Interchange underpass (known as Immigration Interchange) from Friday midnight to after noon.
The traffic change, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is to facilitate completion of upgrading works at the interchange.
During the closure, traffic coming from Al Luqta Street and heading towards reach Khalifa Street will be required to exit right, stay at-grade to reach 22 February Street, continue straight to make a U-turn at Al Rayyan Interchange and then turn right at Al Gharrafa Interchange to continue eastbound on Khalifa Street as shown on the map.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
