HE the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi, inaugurated on Monday a project to develop the 'Tawasul' service, which included the implementation of an advanced electronic system to follow up the phone calls received by the ministry's Duty Office, and requests for assistance to citizens while travelling abroad.

The project aims to speed up the provision of services to citizens, follow up their requests to ensure their speedy completion, and establish a central database of all requests received by Qatari diplomatic missions abroad, the Duty Office and the Department of Consular Affairs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by directors of departments and officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
