Amir sends cable of congratulations to Benin president

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to the President of Benin, Patrice Talon, on the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to President of the Swiss Confederation Ueli Maurer on the occasion of his country’s National Day.

Qatar condemns attack in Iraq
Qatar expressed yesterday its condemnation and denunciation of an attack that targeted a security checkpoint in the Saladin Governorate, North of Iraq, and led to a number of deaths and injuries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed, in a statement released yesterday, Qatar’s firm position rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their motives and reasons.
The statement expressed the condolences of Qatar to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
