Qatar condemned on Monday the Israeli occupation army's demolition of Palestinian houses in the town of Sur Baher, southeast of occupied Jerusalem. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the demolitions violate the historical rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and is a crime against humanity that reflects the Israeli government disregard for international laws and resolutions of international legitimacy.

The statement stressed that this crime calls for urgent international intervention to oblige the Israeli entity to stop the demolitions and to provide protection to the Palestinian people.

It reiterated Qatar's full support for the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people until all their legitimate rights are restored, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state on the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital. (QNA)
