HEC Paris in Qatar has launched the second intake of its Specialised Master in Strategic Business Unit Management (SBUM) degree programme for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The launch for the second intake, held on the HEC Paris Doha Campus in Tornado Tower, welcomed 38 participants from various nationalities including America, Pakistan, Jordan and Lebanon, in addition to a large number of participants from Qatar.
Addressing participants, Dr Nils Plambeck, dean and CEO of HEC Paris in Qatar, offered insights into the programme curriculum and briefed them on the importance of the Specialised Master for their career progression.
This Specialised Master’s degree cohort represents various sectors from influential organisations including Ministry of Defence, QNB, Qatar Olympic Committee, Ooredoo, Qatar Airways, Q-Chem, the Communications Regulatory Authority, Qatar Aluminum Limited, Nakilat, Al Khaliji Bank, Qatar Central Bank, Qatar National Tourism Council, Qatargas, Qatar University, the National Human Rights Committee and Woqod (Qatar Fuel).
Dr Plambeck said, “We are pleased to welcome aboard such talented participants for the second intake of our Specialised Master, slated to further develop the participants skills in their respective fields. Over the years, HEC Paris in Qatar has been adjusting its programme offerings as per changing market dynamics with a view to equip senior leaders to take good decisions and drive the growth and development of their organisations.”

The HEC Paris Specialised Master comprises three stages, starting with the core curriculum focused on Strategy, Finance, and Leadership and Change. Participants will also personalise their learning journey further with a choice of one of three tracks: General Management, Marketing & Sales, and Entrepreneurship & Business Development.
Further, the professional thesis enables participants to focus on a specific challenge related to their industry and provide detailed solutions.
