The State of Qatar participated in the 52nd session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), which began last week in the Austrian capital Vienna.
The agenda of the session included the finalization and adoption of model legislative provisions on public-private partnerships, of texts in the area of insolvency law, consideration of draft UNCITRAL mediation rules, and a review of draft UNCITRAL secretariat notes on the main issues of cloud computing contracts among others.
The participating Qatari delegation, chaired by Director of the Department of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Hilal Mohamed Al Khulaifi, presented a number of remarks on the recommendations made during the session.
Members of the Qatari delegation were legal scholar Majed Al Ghanem, and Third Secretary of the State of Qatar's mission to the UN and other international organizations in Vienna Aisha Ahmed al-Mohannadi.
