Ashghal announces temporary closure of Al- Rayyan Roundabout

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary full road closure of Al-Rayyan Roundabout that is located on 22 February Street and Al-Rayyan Road from July 18 to 20. During the closure, whole bridges and underpass on 22 February street will remain open to traffic. The diversion will be implemented in coordination with the Traffic Police Department for a specific time interval of 11. 30 pm to 5. am on 18 July 2019 and from 11.30pm to 11 am on July 19 and 20. 

The diversion has been announced in order to allow the reinstatement of bitumen surface and pedestrian and footpath upgrade works in the roundabout.

Ashghal will install road signs advising vehicles of the closure. And it has requested all road users to abide by the speed limits and follow the road signs to ensure their safety. The speed limit will also be lowered to 50 kph throughout the diversion to ensure the safety of traffic and project workers.
