HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali called on the youth of the Islamic world to address the issues of their nation and work for its advancement.
This came during a meeting held on the sidelines of Doha Islamic Youth Forum, currently in session in Doha under the motto “Youth is the Power of the Nation”. 
The minister stressed the need for the youth to commit to preserve the wealth and assets of their countries, and to strive to achieve human dignity based on the values of Islam, reiterating that everyone must perform his role because society needs its youth to build its renaissance.
The forum continued yesterday with a training session on the model of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation, the rules and procedures of this model and the stage of drafting the resolution.
The session included three workshop discussed the issues of youth and social media, the effects of social media on countries’ policies and the negative effects of social media.
The participants presented their opinions which will be included in the forum’s recommendations.
In press statements, head of the Organisation and Development of Youth Work in the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Nasser al-Hajri, commended the participants’ interaction with the Forum’s themes and topics, noting that the forum includes a host of outstanding young people who have been selected with great care and according to specific criteria that have been applied to everyone, including the participants from Qatar, which include 20 young men and women.
He noted that the forum will end with recommendations and solutions made by the young people themselves, explaining that it is young people who discuss the problem, and they will develop solutions, thus motivating them in the formulation of decisions, and then implementing them based on all these data resulted by their discussions during the forum which concludes today.
