Qatar has strongly condemned the brutal airstrike that targeted a migrant detention centre in the Tajoura district of the Libyan capital of Tripoli, killing and injuring dozens. In a statement issued Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the strike is a flagrant violation of international laws that protect human rights, and may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The statement also stressed that the airstrike requires an urgent international investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice, calling on the international community to take urgent action to protect civilians. It expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
