A high-level delegation from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) led by its director-general, Khalifa bin Jassim al-Kuwari, will participate in the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, which will be held from July 9 to 19 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. 
Cognisant of the importance of human development, QFFD supports projects and activities that address the priority issues of education, health and economic empowerment, in line with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Goal 3: Ensuring healthy lives and well-being for all; Goal 4: Ensuring fair and inclusive education for all and enhancing lifelong learning for all"; and Goal 8: Promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth and keeping full and productive employment and decent work for all.
Under the theme 'Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality', the forum will review a set of SDGs: Goal 4: Quality education; Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth; Goal 10: Reduced inequalities; Goal 13: Climate action; Goal 16: Peace, justice, strong institutions; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals.
The delegation will also attend several high-level side events on the sidelines of the forum and hold meetings with United Nations agencies, non-government institutions, international development and humanitarian organisations and multi-partner institutions, to discuss collaboration opportunities for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
