Fifty One East and Sony Middle East and Africa have introduced to Qatar “an exciting addition” to its compact camera line-up with the launch of “the world’s smallest and lightest premium ultra-compact camera”, the RX0 II (model DSC-RX0M2), and the next-generation mirrorless and “the world’s fastest autofocus camera”, the A6400 (model ILCE-6400).
The launch event in Doha was attended by emerging professional photographers, students who aspire to hone their craft, photography enthusiasts, bloggers and influencers based in Qatar.
The two new cameras, A6400 and RX0 II, are now available at FNAC in Lagoona Mall and Doha Festival City, Modern Home in Al Maha Center and Virgin Megastore in Villaggio and Landmark.
The new RX0 II with the VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip new model offers internal 4K recording, up to 180-degree and down to 90-degree tiltable LCD screen that even works underwater, and new image stabilisation solutions for video recording.
At the heart of the RX0 II sits a 1.0-type stacked 15.3-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS image sensor and an advanced BIONZ X image processing engine that offer enhanced colour reproduction, including beautiful skin tones. The RX0 II premium tiny tough camera is truly a ‘worry-free’ camera that can be taken into places that no other camera can go. Measuring just 59mm x 40.5mm x 35mm and weighing just 132gm, the RX0 II fits easily into a pocket and is ready for whatever the elements can throw at it. It is waterproof up to 10m deep, dustproof and shockproof up to 2m and crushproof up to 200kg force. The new addition to Sony’s E-mount mirrorless camera lineup, the A6400 camera brings many of Sony’s most advanced technologies from their acclaimed full-frame lineup to a compact, lightweight APS-C camera. The speedy new camera boasts the world’s fastest autofocus (AF) acquisition of 0.02 seconds, while also introducing the new advanced ‘Real-time Eye AF’ and ‘Real-time Tracking’ capabilities.
Also included are high-speed shooting at up to 11 fps with AF/AE tracking, a new-generation BIONZ X image processing engine that produces excellent image quality, 4K video recording, a fully 180-degree tiltable LCD touchscreen and much more, making it the ultimate tool for all types of creators ranging from professionals to everyday vloggers.
The A6400 introduces advanced ‘Real-time Eye AF’, the latest version of Sony’s acclaimed Eye AF technology. This new capability employs artificial intelligence (AI) based object recognition to detect and process eye data in real time, resulting in improved accuracy, speed and tracking performance of Eye AF.
