The Aspire Academy is celebrating today the graduation of its 12th batch, including 41 students in athletics, fencing, football, soccer, squash, table tennis, archery, golf, and gymnastics.
HE the Second Vice-President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Qatar Athletics Federation, Dr Thani bin Abdulrahman al-Kuwari, Aspire Academy deputy director-general Ali Salem Afifa, and a number of heads of sports federations and ranking officials of Aspire Academy will attend the ceremony.
The graduation of the 12th batch of students is another step in the 15-year-old academy’s journey to becoming one of the world’s leading sports academies by 2020 and one of the main providers to national teams and clubs.
The academy plays a key role in the development of the sports sector in Qatar, providing an integrated educational programme for students by developing their sports and educational skills.
