The State of Qatar, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), has set a new record in the results of the safety oversight audit of civil aviation according to the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP).

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has conducted an audit of the CAA and its safety system, through which it verifies the compatibility of the country's air safety standards with the international standards and standards contained in the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation and its annexes.

For the first time in the world, the aviation safety of the civil aviation system in the State of Qatar achieved a compliance rate of 91,16 according to the new ICAO standards, which were implemented in 2018. Thus, the State of Qatar becomes the first country to receive this percentage through the results of a comprehensive audit of all aspects of the aviation safety of the civil aviation system.

This achievement is a clear indication of the effectiveness of the role of the civil aviation safety system in the State of Qatar, especially as it works in a challenging environment and within exceptional circumstances under the unjust blockade imposed on it for more than two years.

In recognition of this extraordinary achievement, the State of Qatar will be honored at the next meeting of the ICAO in September in Montreal, Canada. This achievement is added to the list of achievements of the State at the international level.
