His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was accorded an official reception at the headquarter of Prime Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, this morning, on the occasion of His Highness state visit.
The ceremony began with the national anthems of Qatar and Pakistan, then His Highness the Amir inspected the Pakistani guard of honour.
JF17 fighter Jets flew in during the reception.
His Highness the Amir then planted a pine tree in the garden to express the strength of the relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

Earlier, upon arrival at the airport of Noor Khan Air Base, His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. Also present at the airport to greet the Amir were Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs Zulfi Bukhari, as well as a number of senior officials, Qatar's Ambassador to Pakistan HE Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, Pakistan's Ambassador to the Qatar Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, and members of the Qatari Embassy. The artillery fired 21 rounds upon the arrival of His Highness the Amir.
