Some renowned Indian musicians enthralled the audience at a concert held at Katara – the Cultural Village Drama Theater Friday.
The concert, named Union of Strings and Wind, was organised by Beats & Tunes Events in co-operation with the Indian embassy as part of the Qatar-India 2019 Year of Culture.

Grammy and Padmabhushan awardee Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt played the Mohan Veena, with Shashank Subramanyam, a Grammy-nominated musician, playing the flute. The 'jugalbandi' concert also featured Amita Dalal on the sitar, Patri Satish Kumar on the mridangam and Himanshu Mahant on the tabla. Present on the occasion was Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, Indian ambassador P Kumaran and other officials, dignitaries and guests.
