The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) participated in a third meeting of the team responsible for preparing the work plan of the committee of GCC civil retirement and social insurance authorities, hosted by Kuwait General Organisation for Social Insurance for two days.
The Board was represented at the meeting by the Director of Planning and Quality Moza Mohamed al-Sulaiti.
The meeting discussed arrangements for the development of the plan, which will cover three years (2020–2022), and agree on the main items and main objectives, and the initiatives necessary to achieve them. The meeting also reviewed the achievements made during the two previous meetings, especially with regard to assessing the current co-operation between the civil pension agencies and the social insurance of the Gulf, and extracting issues of common concern according to the strategy of each organ.
Meanwhile, the GRSIA participated in the 42nd meeting of the GCC Permanent Technical Committee for Civil and Social Security Schemes, which was hosted by the State of Kuwait on Tuesday and yesterday, and was devoted to discussing the study of reforming the fund systems, following up on the development proposals for the work of the committee of heads of agencies, and the mechanisms of implementing the resolutions issued at the last meeting.
Director of Customer Department, member of the Committee Ali Abdullah al-Kuwari represented the committee at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the evaluation study of the system of extension of insurance protection and its development mechanisms, in addition to the statistical indicators of Gulf countries, the developments in applying the system for citizens’ co-operation, and studying the reform of the fund systems.
Members of the Committee were briefed on the binding legal procedures for employers on unpaid outstanding contributions, consolidating the details of invoices sent to them by GCC nationals working for them, and completing the requirements of the unified visual media campaign, as well as tasks of the international liaison team during the coming period, and other topics on the agenda.
