HE the Director of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi inaugurated the Visitors' Office at the Rules Execution Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) Monday morning in presence of a number of MoI department directors.
Informing this on social media, the MoI said the office provides information on court judgments issued and follow-up procedures in various court cases (civil, criminal, traffic etc), and also regarding obtaining certificates and payment of penalties imposed by court orders.
The office is equipped with the latest equipment and requirements to ensure that transactions are completed for all visitors easily while special services are provided for the elderly and persons with special needs in order to enable them to complete the procedures comfortably, according to the MoI.
The Visitors' Office of the Rules Execution Department, which is located in Rayyan, works 24/7.
Opening of the office is part of the modernisation strategy of the Ministry, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported. Following the opening, HE Staff Major General al-Khulaifi said the office is part of the MoI's efforts to provide services to the public - both citizens and residents - in an easy and fast manner to save time and effort.
He noted that the department contributes to the achievement of justice within the framework of the MoI's competencies and has fruitful and constructive co-operation with the judicial authorities in the country. Therefore, the development of its work was necessary and has a positive effect on procedures and the implementation of judicial rules, it was observed.
Director of the department, Colonel Saif al-Khayarin said the new office operates round the clock and represents a qualitative leap, as it shortens a lot of procedures that previously required to visit a number of relevant offices within the department.
Colonel al-Khayarin explained that the office allows visitors to complete all the procedures and transactions that required a lot of time and effort in the past. He added that the office also allows visitors to pay the required penalties through the automated payment system, which has been provided in co-ordination with the Public Prosecution.
