The Sealine Beach, where the sea and sand dunes embrace each other, has been attracting large numbers of visitors throughout Eid holidays.

Mohamed Hassan, a Qatari national, pointed out that Qatari people love to come to the Sealine Beach to enjoy their gatherings, have some barbecue parties and swimming.

He said that it has also become a favourite destination for many expatriate communities in the country.

Jalil, an expatriate, said that young people love to come to the Sealine area to enjoy the beautiful landscape, especially the unique combination of sand dunes and sea.

"This area is also ideal to drive quad bikes or SUVs over the dunes and many come here for the same," he told local Arabic daily Arrayah.

Though the surge in the number of visitors resulted in a proportionate rise in the quantity of trash left in the area, municipal authorities have deployed more waste bins and personnel to intensify cleaning operations.

"But, there should be more awareness among the visitors so as not to litter this beautiful beach and sand dunes with trash," a visitor suggested.

Gulf Times had reported last month about the irresponsible behaviour of some visitors, that damages the environment of the Sealine area by way of littering trash and coal used for barbecue.

There is a good presence of police patrols and ambulances to monitor the area. The place also is well-prepared to receive visitors with a number of cafeterias, alongside camel renting and quad bike renting shops.

Mohamed al-Marri, another citizen, said that the quad bike rental shops at the Sealine area provide customers good options with the rent starting from QR100 and goes up to QR1,000 an hour depending on the type of the bike. He said that he is a regular visitor of the area to practise such sport and enjoy the beautiful environment.

Saleh al-Marri appreciated the effective role of the traffic and security patrols that maintain the safety and security of the place and take speedy action if required.
