The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Environmental Protection, Natural Reserves & Wildlife Department, has announced an awareness and celebratory initiative coinciding with the Hawksbill turtle nesting season.
This will include presentations, distribution of leaflets, field visits and a turtle nesting watch at Fuwairit beach from 4pm on June 6, the MME has said in a notice on social media.
Those interested in attending the event need to call 184 for co-ordination and confirmation of attendance.
The initiative comes in celebration of World Environment Day, which is observed around the world on June 5.
